Introducing our new Baby Mini Horse.......
We saw her at Hoard Station Sale Barn Campbellford Ont. 21st August 2012. She was standing in a pen with her mother and 6 other mini horses.......I wish I could have brought them all.......but we had to settle for just the one........At this current time, she does not have a name though I am sure it will not be long before my granddaughter finds a name that is perfect for her.......... She is the perfect gift for my little granddaughter, I am sure they will have lots of fun together....baby animals and children - perfect match.
We believe that she is about 5 months old, colouring.....hard to tell and she is dirty.......she could be Palomino or maybe a Gray.........she is wild and scared........ She has made friends with our guardian dog Ponoka, but she is very suspicious of the goats....

Little Pony's first walk on the lunge line.......soooooooo cute!
21st November2012
Over the pass couple of months, we have kept little Pony in and she has now become quite and fairly easy to handle, however one still has to watch those back legs of hers....LOL.
This morning she went out for a walk on the lunge line for the first time, first she pulled and tried to get away but after 10 mins or so she calmed down and began to trot around....she looked so sweet just like a carousel horse, she carried her head well, lifted her hooves and carried her tail high, she really enjoyed the freedom......she is now out and running around, it is going to be fun to catch her tonight......
A couple of weeks ago she had her hooves trimmed for the first time and she stood like a pro. Sadly from wherever she came from she had been living with Chickens, Ducks, and Geese, the frog on each and every hoof had been eaten away with disease which fowl carry, but our farrier assured us that they would grow back over time and her hooves would return to normal.
Well Done Little Pony........
Little Pony has now been given a name by my granddaughter - she has called her Little Pony! I feel sure that this name will change many times before the right one is found........this is name number 3

In this photo puff is just 11 months old (DOB: February 2011)
He guards our Katahdin and Dorper Sheep.
When he was a baby he had a bug bite his ear,
it has never recovered but adds to his unique personality.
He is friendly and very will behaved....... He also loves the horses, especially Cash.

Lucky Lad
Lucky
Lucky was born in the spring of 2008. For his mother Zippy, her first freshening it was quite an ordeal as she had 3 kids.....she was not that maternal, neither did she have much milk. Lucky was the smallest of the three, his 2 sisters were strong and pushed him out, but we found him in the nick of time and saved his life with the much needed colostrum, for the next few days Lucky got his strength back, we have no idea why, he then took a turn for the worse, twice, we brought him back and hence he got his name as 'Lucky Lad' He is one big softie, loves to be brushed and petted. He spends his time in with the bucks, just before breeding begins he spends a month or two in with the does to bring them to into heat he does his job well.

Madame
Madame
'Madame' is a French Alpine, she joined our family in the Spring of 2012 to help feed our bottle lambs.
She is a sweetheart, she stood to be milk even thou she did not know us.
Madame was providing us with 1 1/2 ltr of milk per day which is a great help in feeding the lambs......She is currently taking a break from her milking roll as the lambs are now grown......but she will be back in kid for the early spring.....She will be bred to William.....
